Cyanotype
To make Cyanotype you will have to get cyanotype paper, collect some objects to put on top, the best objects to use are the ones where you can see shapes either on the edges or if the actual object is see-through, like a ruler. The best day to make this process is if its a sunny day so you get a better outcome. You place the objects on top of the cyanotype paper and leave it in the sun for a few minutes, until there is a clear shape/shadow of your object on the paper. Put the paper in water (without the objects) and leave it there for 1 minute, not any longer or else the water would just basically wipe away the shape on your cyanotype paper. Leave it to dry and then finished! -Cyanotype paper is a piece of paper with chemicals inside that react to the sun, and when you put the object on top it blocks the sun from mixing with the chemicals to make the cyanotype paper darker around the shape of the object.

This picture was produced around 1783, I couldn't find the title for this photo but I'm sure they're tulips. This image shows a lot of detail. It shows the shade where the light couldn't touch the paper and it is clear what the object is. You can clearly see that the object is a type of flower and you can also see that the flower grew from a bulb. The most interesting thing to me was how clear the roots are in this cyanotype picture and the main focal point are the petals because they show the most detail of a flower. There is only one thing I dislike about this photo and it's the way how there is an outline around the picture. Which I think is a water mark.
I think the photographer is trying to show detail to make the photo more realistic. The photograph makes me think how much a flower can show about itself and how beautiful they can be. From analysing this photograph I could use a better object for my own work, to make improvements. I could do this by finding new nature objects and leaving the paper and object out in the sun for longer to get more details, and focus around the roots a bit more.

The elements I like about my cyanotype photos is that my first try to do this was successful and I personally think that after my first and second photo I got better at the cyanotype process. The best thing about one photo of the keys is that the keys look as if they are 3D but really they were just shadows.
The elements I would change about my outcome is to maybe move the objects on my paper so there isn't a shadow behind the objects, that could also be a good thing because when I used the keys it looked as if the keys were 3D. The first two pages are the ones I have done in school (scissors and leaf), to try it out and practice so I know what to do when I try it at home. The other three (kitchen cutlery, bracelets and keys) are the ones that I have done at home.
My intention for my photos are to show a clear image of the object I am using on top of the cyanotype paper. I am trying to show the exact shape of the object and I think I have shown that in the cutlery, bracelets and keys because the shadows of them objects have made them look 3D. There is an area I could do better work on is on the second picture with the leaf and other natural things because it seems as if it needed to be left out in the sun for a bit longer, I know this due to the fact that the paper is clearly darker than the others and you cannot see the objects clearly. Also the cyanotype paper still has darker areas where the paper hasn't caught the sunlight properly. The elements I could develop further in my work is the photo with the scissors, ruler and paperclips. This is because the image isn't clear and you are not able to tell that the object on the left is a ruler until somebody tells you what it is, the scissors has blurred edges because the paper kept moving due to the fact that it was a windy day.
