Edward Weston
Onion Halved - Taken in 1930
The website I got this from is Google web and I searched Edward Weston work and it came up with a slideshow with Edward Weston's work with some information underneath it.
In my own words, this picture shows some detail with texture but not too much so it makes the photo simple. As you can tell by the title this photo is an onion that has been cut in half and to show this picture in black and white I wouldn't know that it was an onion without the title. The main point of this picture is to show the texture of the onion. The elements I like about this photo that it is simple but effective but the elements I dislike about this is that you can't really see the texture besides the lines in the onion.

Me and my class all went to Lea Valley to take pictures of something that include texture, I have took pictures of all different kind of things to show this. In some photos you cant see texture because I haven't gotten close enough to see it, so I know next time that I have to be close to an object/something to see the texture. I was trying to show texture in all of the images including depth of field to add more of an effect to the object I was taking a picture of. The areas in some pictures aren't that good due to the fact that I haven't included texture and only the natural object I was photographing.
